Sakura Ridge The Farm and Lodge Reopens with New Chef + Guest Experiences

Sakura Ridge The Farm and Lodge, a boutique, eco-conscious luxury bed and breakfast in Hood River Oregon is officially reopen for the season and now taking reservations through October. Sakura is thrilled to welcome new head chef Lia Lira, a Top Chef alum and owner of Bramble House located on Vashon Island in Washington. Lira will be focused on creating Sakura’s food and beverage program.

New enhancements to the food and beverage program at Sakura include a seasonally driven breakfast, focused on using produce sourced from the properties farm, local farmers and eggs from the Sakura Ridge chickens. Breakfast will vary as the seasons change, with delicious favorites like house made semolina waffles, farm fresh egg omelets with savory fillings and mushroom congee with pickles and fresh garnish. Each morning will start with house made baked goods, seasonal fruit and freshly squeezed juices.

“An important part of the experience at Sakura Ridge is the food and the beverages and the intentional sourcing of ingredients. We want guests to experience products produced locally so who better to do that than Chef Lia Lira who has worked to create these experiences around the world,” said Sakura Ridge Owner Cheryl Lubbert, “In addition to breakfast, guests are invited to enjoy award winning cider and perry from Nashi Orchards created using fruit grown in the orchards surrounding the Lodge, and new this season, locally sourced wine and elevated champagne offerings for purchase by the bottle.”
