Sweeter in Seattle: Meet the City's Collection of European Pasticerrias

Since inception, family owned Nutty Squirrel and Fainting Goat have been working in tandem behind the scenes to deliver an authentic, Italian inspired gelato shop experience.  The two generations of families recently joined forces, creating a collection of five Seattle-area neighborhood gelato shops. With the November 1 launch of a new bakery collection delivered fresh to each store, these sweet spots will soon become a true European Pasticerria experience, serving gelato, espresso and tea in addition to treats like panna cotta, chocolate mousse, tiramisu, profiteroles, macarons and freshly baked pastries and cakes, made with the same passion and commitment to authenticity.

The growth of the business and new bakery offerings solidify Nutty Squirrel and Fainting Goat as Seattle’s traditional European Pasticceria. With a growing collection of more than 350 gelato recipes in the family vault, customers find a curated selection of minimum twelve flavors at each shop, which include staples like Hazelnut, Chocolate and Stratciatella to seasonal and creative rotating flavors like Pumpkin Spice with Pepita Brittle and Olive Oil Orange. The menu also includes a minimum of two vegan options like Dark Chocolate Sorbetto and Pink Grapefruit Sorbetto.
