Make a Difference with Your Dinner: Seattle's Dining Out for Life Takes Place September 25
Dining Out For Life, organized by Lifelong and the Chicken Soup Brigade, invites diners across the city to enjoy delicious meals while making a meaningful impact. On Thursday, September 25, 2025, Seattle’s vibrant dining scene comes together for a powerful purpose. A portion of every participating restaurant’s sales goes directly to Lifelong—supporting vital services like medically tailored meals, housing assistance, and healthcare for community members living with HIV (lifelong.org).
“When you dine out, you're not just savoring flavors—you’re nourishing lives,” shares Lifelong CEO James Shakelford. “This one-day event is a chance to enjoy exceptional food while giving back to the community.”
Here’s how you can get involved: Dine at any participating restaurant on September 25 and help Lifelong deliver critical services. Can’t dine out that day? Consider donating directly or becoming a Dining Out For Life Ambassador to spread the word.
With 24 restaurants to choose from and the option to dine-in or takeout, there’s a spot convenient to each of Seattle’s neighborhoods. A few highlights:
Willmott’s Ghost — Chef Renee Erickson’s Italian-inspired ode to pizza, pasta, and spritzes inside Amazon’s Spheres.
El Chupacabra — A lively cantina serving bold Mexican flavors and margaritas, with locations in Alki, Greenwood, and South Lake Union.
Plenty of Clouds — A Capitol Hill favorite for Sichuan and Yunnan specialties, known for creative cocktails and spicy, shareable plates.
Palace Kitchen — One of Tom Douglas’ most beloved institutions, serving inventive Northwest comfort food in a welcoming, late-night setting.
For more than 40 years, Lifelong has fought health inequities and supported people living with serious illness, helping them access health care, lifesaving medicines, stable housing and nutritious food. Lifelong’s food and nutrition program, the Chicken Soup Brigade, delivers medically tailored meals and the agency’s aging and disability program enables vulnerable adults to reside in the setting of their choice with services and supports to maximize their independence. Lifelong believes everyone deserves to live their best life, no matter their circumstances. Learn more at lifelong.org.
