Whiskies of the World Returns to Seattle, Nov. 13

 
 

Whiskies of the World, The Quintessential Whisky Tasting event, returns to Seattle on November 13 at the iconic Rainier Club. Guests will enjoy more than 200 varieties of the world’s most fascinating distilled spirits from across the globe, including tastings from local PNW distilleries. Guests can also attend first come, first serve educational masterclasses from some of the top personalities in the industry.

Who's ready to raise a dram? After taking a year off due to the pandemic, Whiskies of the World, The Quintessential Whisky Tasting event, returns to Seattle on November 13 at the iconic Rainier Club. Formerly known as The Whisky Extravaganza, IWSC’s Whiskies of the World and Whisky Extravaganza merged to create the foremost Whisky tour in the United States. Set to travel to15 major cities, the 2020 mega-tour was postponed due to the pandemic but will be visiting 6 cities in 2021. 

As one of the largest whisky tasting events in the U.S., Whiskies of the World curated by Agency 21 gathers over 200 varieties of the world’s most fascinating distilled spirits along with their makers and ambassadors to give guests an unforgettable evening. “Each year brings incredible innovation from the whiskey craft as well as the large distillers and we are fortunate to be able to sample their liquid art at our event. We look forward to continually expanding upon new and exciting experiences for our attendees to ensure this is THE whisky experience of the year in Seattle”, said Brett Friedman, CEO of Agency 21 and co-owner of Whiskies of the World.

This year’s event, benefitting The Cocktail Collection, will feature many unique expressions from Japan, Canada, Ireland and other countries from across the globe. This all-inclusive tasting experience aims to foster a broader and deeper appreciation of the brown spirit and its complexities by connecting consumers and brands through curated experiences. While enjoying whisky samples and hors d'oeuvres, guests have the option to attend educational masterclasses from some of the top personalities in the industry.

 Participating brands include Pacific Northwest Favorites natives such as Copper Works Distilling, Scratch Distillery, Chambers Bay Distillery, Crater Lake Spirits, and Freeland Distillery along with award-winning whiskies from Kilchoman, Starward, Penderyn Distillery, Single Cask Nation, and many more.

 In addition to hundreds of whiskies available to taste, the general admission ticket ($100) provides guests with deliciously crafted culinary bites and a branded nosing glass to properly sip and swirl whisky like a pro. Intimate masterclass ($5 fee, based on availability) are also available. For the ultimate whiskey-obsessed experience, the VIP ticket ($150) provides guests with early access to the event for more face-to-face time with distillers, priority reservations for the educational masterclasses and private access to additional high-end whiskies and culinary offerings.

 All attendees must show proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 test upon entry.
