The coffee and cocktail space will be an energetic gathering spot as the hub for 189 high-end apartment homes, more than 1.5 million square feet of office space, diverse retail offerings and ample parking. Its location will add a welcome choice to an active downtown epicenter of hotels, popular restaurants, and corporate work space.

Fonté Coffee is a local, family-owned, micro-coffee roaster that operates nine cafes, a nation-wide wholesale business, and a thriving online business at fontecoffee.com. After more than 30 years of providing coffee to the finest chefs, restaurants and hoteliers in the country, Fonté will open its flagship coffee and cocktail bar in downtown Seattle, bringing decades of artisan craftsmanship and quality service to its hometown.

“In keeping with the spirit that built Seattle, The Fonté Bar is proud to be a part of a lively downtown area that is beginning to thrive again. We intend to provide a space where people can relax and enjoy their drinks, socialize, and be entertained with hospitable service from sun up to sundown,” said Paul Odom, founder and owner of Fonté Coffee Roaster.

The Fonté Bar offers a contemporary 8,000 square foot space boasting 30-foot ceilings with both indoor and outdoor seating, private nooks, and a comfortable gathering space in an open-air lobby of Rainier Square. Daytime offerings include Fonté’s celebrated coffee and espresso drinks, crafted with the highest quality and hand-roasted beans from around the globe. Premium ingredients are the common thread throughout each offering, sourced from long-time local purveyors such as Borracchini Foods. Daytime options include grab-and-go fare made daily such as the popular Fonté breakfast burritos and hand-made fresh baked goods at Fonté’s own bakery and café in downtown Seattle. Seated lunch and dinner service will offer an ingredients-driven menu that nods to Fonté’s coffee roots with staples such as Costa Rican Chicken, a traditional recipe from the Tres Ríos region in Costa Rica where Fonté sources coffee beans from.

An equally distinctive cocktail program will be a main focus at The Fonté Bar, with unique offerings such as a trolley-bar service for mixing up ice cold martinis tableside. Another signature offering will be F2 Espresso Martinis, crafted using a La Marzocco Modbar Espresso Machine which was designed specifically for bartenders to pull espresso from. Every attention to detail has been paid, including a custom-made ice machine that forms crystal-clear ice cubes for the perfect craft cocktail.

The Fonté Bar will be open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., with the coffee bar offering service from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the cocktail bar offering service from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy validated parking daily after 3:00 p.m.  To learn more, please visit www.fontecoffee.com.
