Circle Wellness Opens Reservations July 30 for First U.S. Seattle Flagship
Circle Wellness, the world’s first automated private thermal spa known for its immersive, design forward experience in Vancouver, will officially open its first U.S. location this August at 1326 N Northlake Way, just steps from Gas Works Park. Reservations for the Seattle location will open July 30, and can be made here.
Following the success of its flagship Granville Island location in Vancouver, which has operated at nearly full capacity since its 2023 opening. Circle Wellness will bring a new, private approach to wellness for its Seattle guests. Pacific Northwest, Circle Wellness offers fully private thermal spa circuits designed to help guests disconnect from daily distractions and reconnect with themselves and those closest to them. Every element of the sequence, from the cedar soaking tub to the multi-sensory WellPod sauna, draws inspiration from centuries-old traditions around the world while incorporating modern technology and intentional design.
The Seattle location will introduce the world's first automated private thermal spa to the United States. Unlike traditional communal spas and social saunas, bathhouses, saunas and cold plunge studios, Circle Wellness provides a self-guided experience for up to two guests within a completely private, clothing-optional environment. Each circuit offers a curated sequence of heat, cold, rest and sensory immersion, combining ancient wellness practices with modern technology and automation.
Inspired by Japanese Onsens, the experience begins with an open-air shower, followed by a 20-minute soak in the custom cedar soaking tub. Filled with fresh water for every session, the spacious open-concept design allows guests to relax, stretch, float, and fully immerse themselves before transitioning into the WellPod.
A reinvention of the traditional sauna, the WellPod is the heart of the experience. Inspired by the Korean Jjimjilbang, it has Himalayan salt walls that naturally release negative ions, known to boost mood and encourage quality sleep. The salt also holds heat, so guests are warmed by the room itself. The WellPod program is a choreographed sequence of sound design curated with local artists, dynamic lighting, and fresh air, designed to engage both body and mind. Rather than emphasizing extreme temperatures, the experience focuses on gentle, prolonged heat exposure that encourages relaxation and mindfulness. Guests can then choose to continue with an optional cold plunge before settling onto heated river stones designed to be an open-air reflexology experience.
Throughout the experience, guests are surrounded by lush living plant walls inspired by the forests of the Pacific Northwest, while a custom soundscape helps guide the journey. Behind the scenes, proprietary automation technology seamlessly coordinates every aspect of the circuit experience. Every circuit is fully reset between visits, with tubs drained, cleaned and refilled with fresh water for every guest.
Circle Wellness first launched its prototype as an Airbnb Experience in Vancouver in 2020 and quickly became one of the platform's highest-rated wellness offerings. Demand continued to grow, leading to a 20,000-person waitlist before the opening of its flagship Granville Island location in 2023.
Now, Seattle becomes Circle Wellness’ first U.S. flagship.
