Here, There + Everywhere: The Works Seattle Announces Holiday Classes, in-Studio or at-Home

The Works Seattle rolls out its new holiday lineup, full of experiences offered both as in-person and at-home classes. At the shop in Seattle, customers can explore a lineup of classes ranging from Watercolor 101: Poinsettias, Holiday Cheeseboards or Mocktails, Tea Blending, Block Printing and more. The collection of DIY Kits like Gourmet Garden, Cookie Decorating, and Bubble Tea, provide the magic of in-person classes distilled into a box available for shipping nationwide.

Every instructor at The Works holds a background in teaching. “We are facilitators of experiences,” notes The Works Founder, Kellie Phelan. “Whether you’re in the studio or learning from home, our customers depart with both a new skill or craft along with sense of true community and connection.”

While the studio was closed for in-person classes throughout the pandemic, The Works Seattle team successfully pivoted to in-home experiences with DIY Kits. Each box includes project materials, detailed instructions, and a video with a member of the teaching team sharing the secrets to given topics. The carefully crafted boxes have taken off as gift ideas or shared experiences between friends and family. Phelan notes, “it’s not just a pretty box on a shelf, it’s a meaningful package.”

Even with the re-opening of in-person classes, the DIY Kits continue to offer an in-home experience nationwide. This season, new holiday DIY Kits include: Wreath Making (local pickup only), a joyful holiday tradition that includes a step-by-step video, hot chocolate for four, wreath frame and all of the accents; the Cookie Decorating Kit (launching December 1) provides all the ingredients, tips, and tricks to bake and decorate a dozen baked shortbread cookies with colorful royal icing and also learn how to bake the perfect shortbread cookie, make royal icing, and implement decoration methods with unique effects.

As the studio reopens for in-person classes, the Holiday Class Lineup will bring a variety of inspired experiences including:
